Honestly, if The Killers had simply released an EP with the first half of Hot Fuss on it (wait, first half plus a song..."Andy You're a Star" is awesome) and then proceeded to break up, I would have been a happy camper.
I'm a little over a month away from the end of my Starbucks career; it's just time to move on. Yes, I've needed the cash and certainly haven't minded being a ten minute walk from work but I become less committed to the job with each day that passes. My work ethic/minor O.C.D. keeps me doing well, but I've been mentally disconnected for some time.
In the end, I'm happy I transferred. I've met some beautiful people over the past few months, hopefully people that I'll continue to have contact with post-departure.
Life has been full of debating whether or not to go for an MFA and which to go for should I choose to move forward with it, building up what will be Edward Brook (going through modes of excitement as to its progress), working at Transmyt (full time? maybe soon), freelance work for Stephen Simon, and further battling with my own desires and aspirations.
Been reading Vonnegut lately. That man's mind was quite lovely.
Listening to: Arms and Sleepers "Black Paris 86," Cannibal Corpse "Evisceration Plague," Cattle Decapitation "The Harvest Floor," The Dillinger Escape Plan "Miss Machine," The Mars Volta "Bedlam in Goliath," mewithoutYou "Catch for Us the Foxes," Trap Them "Seizures in Barren Praise," TV on the Radio "Dear Science"
And so it goes.
